Kansas State University students selected to serve as College of Agriculture Ambassadors

MANHATTAN — The Kansas State University College of Agriculture has selected 33 students to serve as new ambassadors.

The College of Agriculture Ambassadors are student leaders devoted to sharing their experiences and supporting prospective K-State students who may be interested in academic programs within the college. Whether creating meaningful connections with prospective students and their families, providing campus tours, or building relationships with faculty and current students, it is the responsibility of an Ag Ambassador to share resources and make others feel welcome in the college.

Students who have a strong academic record, possess significant leadership skills and have a major in the College of Agriculture are eligible for membership. After being selected to be a part of the organization, ambassadors are trained through the Agriculture Leadership Program and other developments to enable professional and personal growth.

The following students are new members of the College of Agriculture Ambassadors:

Zoë Rhodes, sophomore in agricultural education, Girard; Lilye Cartwright, freshman in agriculture-pre-vet, Junction City; Molly Brown, sophomore in animal sciences and industry, Lecompton; Jenson Schoenfeld, senior in agricultural business, Oakley; Tyree Figge, sophomore in agricultural business, Onaga; Madeline Drake, junior in agricultural communications, Preston; Carissa Sohm, junior in agronomy, Rolla; Peyton Sherron, sophomore in animal sciences and industry, Spring Hill; Cappi Hoeting, freshman in agricultural communications from Stockton; and Hannah Schreiner, sophomore in agricultural education, Topeka.

From out of state: Kendall Geist, freshman in agricultural economics, Madera, California; Gillian Villa, junior in agricultural business, Santa Maria, California;Callahan Riewald, sophomore in agriculture-pre-vet from Colorado Springs, Colorado;Annabelle Mortimeyer, junior in park management and conservation, Lamar, Colorado;Reagan Richards, sophomore in agricultural communications, Avon Park, Florida;Dillon Mai, freshman in agricultural economics, Bonners Ferry, Idaho;andMackenzie Malson, senior in agricultural economics, Fruitland, Idaho.
