MANHATTAN — The 2022-2023 McCain Performance Series hosts Classic Albums Live performing one of rock and roll's most iconic albums, Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon," at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, in Kansas State University's McCain Auditorium.

Founded in 2003 by Craig Martin, Classic Albums Live takes the greatest albums and recreates them live on stage — note for note, cut for cut. Forgoing costumes and impersonations, Classic Albums Live has found success in concentrating solely on the music.

"Think of it as a recital," Martin said. "These albums are historic and stand the test of time. All of our energy is put into the music. We want the performance to sound exactly like the album."

With more than 100 shows per year across North America, Classic Albums Live has seen success in performing arts centers and theatres. Martin says the albums are sacred to people, and a Classic Albums Live performance is enduring and makes a connection with fans.

Tickets are available online at mccain.k-state.edu or at the ticket office in the newly expanded McCain lobby from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. Tickets are also available by phone, 785-532-6428, during the same hours. Kids 17 and younger get 50% off the general price of admission.
