Monday, Nov. 28, 2022

MANHATTAN — Parker Dyro, December bachelor's candidate in finance and economics, is the recipient of the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award from the Kansas State University College of Business. He will be recognized at the college's commencement ceremony on Dec. 10 in Bramlage Coliseum.

Dyro, Lenexa, is a Kansas State Finance Scholar and served as vice president of the investment banking track for the program. He won the 2022 Gates Capital Management Stock Pitch Challenge and he was vice president of communications on the Treasury Committee of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He received the K-State Putnam Scholarship, the Gates Capital Management Scholarship and the Mary Lynn Staley Economics Scholarship.

The college's Outstanding Senior Selection Committee, in recommending Dyro for the award, found that he performed exceptionally well both in and out of the classroom and that he represents the "pinnacle of academic strength" as evidenced by his many achievements.

Following his graduation, Dyro will be a private equity analyst with Five Elms Capital in Kansas City.

Dyro is the son of Rebecca Dyro and Jason Dyro and is a graduate of Olathe Northwest High School.
