Blue Key selects K-State students for 2021-2022 scholarships

MANHATTAN— Blue Key, a senior honor society at Kansas State University, has selected 17 students to receive Blue Key scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Blue Key scholarships are awarded based on the honor society's values of scholarship, leadership and service. All scholarship recipients undergo a rigorous application process. Learn more about each scholarship at k-state.edu/bluekey/services/Scholarships.html.

The following students are Blue Key scholarship recipients: 

Claire Winter, junior in biological systems engineering, Andale, Greg Hardin Memorial Scholarship.

From Greater Kansas City: Eric Terrazas, junior in chemical engineering, Kansas City, Chester E. Peters Student Development Award; Cameron Jones, senior in professional strategic selling, Lenexa,Walter Martin Memorial Scholarship; Dugan Hult, senior in biological systems engineering, Olathe, Greg Hardin Memorial Scholarship; Erin Osner, junior in elementary education, Dr. Pat. J. Bosco Graduate Student Scholarship, and Kayla Craigmile, senior in anthropology, Dr. Pat. J. Bosco Graduate Student Scholarship, both from Shawnee.

Christa Griffin, sophomore in aeronautical technology, Lawrence, Blue Key Study Abroad Scholarship.

Sierra Staatz, senior in chemical engineering, Tonganoxie, Greg Hardin Memorial Scholarship; and Alexa Scheer, junior in political science, Topeka, Blue Key Study Abroad Scholarship.

Cadence Ciesielski, senior in philosophy, Bernard Franklin Opportunity Scholarship, and Amber Cox, junior in social sciences, Dr. Pat. J. Bosco Graduate Student Scholarship, both from Valley Center. 

From Wichita: Riley Ranzau, sophomore in biology, Roy C. Langford Memorial Scholarship; Siera Shirley, senior in hospitality management, Bernard Franklin Opportunity Scholarship; Shymel Townes, junior in agricultural economics, Bernard Franklin Opportunity Scholarship; and Lydia Waner, senior in fisheries, wildlife and conservation biology, Walter Martin Memorial Scholarship.

From out of state: Jenika Hazelbaker, senior in agronomy, Wentzville, Missouri,Walter Martin Memorial Scholarship; and Brett LaFleur, senior in interior design, Omaha, Nebraska, Blue Key Study Abroad Scholarship.
