Kappa Tau Community Service

"Servants of All..."

Alpha Phi Alpha has a long history of providing community outreach and other charitable and service projects in our communities. The Fraternity has evolved from a social fraternity to a primarily community service organization throughout its history. Our national programs date back to 1919, with our "Go-To-High School, Go-to-College" campaign to promote academic achievement within the African-American community as its first initiative. Since then, the fraternity has been strong in its efforts of tackling other issues within communities such as education, political awareness, youth mentoring, sexual health, and many others.

Us here at the Kappa Tau chapter provide many opportunities for others in the community to get involved with our community services projects. We conduct these projects throughout the school year and summer, and usually extend an invitation to all students and people in our community to participate with us depending on the project. We will continue to strive to provide our service to our community here in Manhattan, as well as other communities as well.
