Johnson Cancer Research Center to host 'The Cure Starts with Us' Power Luncheon
The K-State Johnson Cancer Research Center will host "The Cure Starts with Us" Power Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at the Holiday Inn Manhattan at the Campus.
The luncheon will spotlight some of the center's cancer researchers.
Coco Bolos will provide a lunch buffet. The cost is $25 per person for the buffet and presentations.
David Poole, scientist and university distinguished professor of kinesiology, will present "Oxygen Transport with Tissues in Health and Cancer."
Aloka Amarasooriya, graduate student, will present "A Trojan horse approach to delivery of small-molecule anti-cancer drugs."
