Student organization participates in scholarship fundraiser
The Hispanic American Leadership Organization, a registered sponsored student organization, is hosting a scholarship fundraiser called "Cambio Para Cambio." The fundraiser supports high school students' dreams to attend college.
"Cambio Para Cambio" is a Spanish phrase that means "Change for Change." It's like when you have some extra coins in your pocket, and you decide to put them into a piggy bank that adds up over time. It's all about bringing the Kansas community together to make a positive difference in our own community. The initiative aims to fund the Hispanic Development Fund Scholarship. The scholarship helps reduce the financial barriers that can sometimes get in the way of Latino students pursuing their dreams.
