SimplexGrinnell will test the emergency fire equipment in Harbin Hall and Residence Hall at K-State Salina during the morning hours after 10 a.m. between April 10 and April 12.

Also, between April 15 and May 1 SimplexGrinnell will test the emergency fire equipment in:

  • Burt Hall

  • Dickens Hall
  • Fairchild Hall
  • Kedzie Hall
  • Leasure Hall
  • Seaton Hall
  • Seaton Court
  • Environmental Research Lab
  • Ward Hall
  • Waters Annex
  • Waters Hall

To reduce the number of building occupants interrupted by the sound of alarms, the fire alarm systems will be tested every evening between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

The quarterly sprinkler system testing for all campus buildings will be conducted between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily during the month of April. Testing of the sprinkler systems will not disrupt the building occupants.

Police dispatch, facilities and the Manhattan Fire Department will be notified for each building at the start of the test. Please refer your comments and questions to safety@k-state.edu or call 785-532-5856.
