Functional fitness, mobility classes starting now

Submitted by Craig Wiebe

K-State Crossfit is starting a new class at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4.

What is it?
Functional Fitness and Mobility is a low-intensity training class where learning and mastering technique and form is the emphasis rather than trying to achieve the fastest time or heaviest lift. This class is designed to focus on personal achievements in a noncompetitive environment.

Each session will include a strength or skill component, as well as a mobility workout of the day, emphasizing the importance of stretching and recovery. Classes are small with more personal attention; limited to eight people.

Is it for me?
Yes! Functional Fitness and Mobility is open to anyone of any ability who is at least 18 years of age. This class is perfect for the beginner who may feel intimidated to join a larger group class, someone with a minor or chronic injury who could use some mobility work or for athletes who wants to improve their skills and mobility.

When: At 5:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
Where: 4 Natatorium
Cost: $50 per month for 2 days a week or $75 per month for 3 days a week
Coach: Craig Wiebe
Phone: 316-214-8784
