Outstanding academic achievement will placed you among the very select group of students qualifying for membership in the Multicultural Student Honor Society (MSHS). The MSHS is an academic honor society dedicated to excellence.
Membership, by invitation only, is extended to sophomores and above who have a K-State GPA of 3.0 or higher after 45 hours of work. Full-time as well as part-time students from all majors may qualify, and members include both traditional and non-traditional students. Transfer students with 15 or more K-State hours, who are sophomores with a 3.0 GPA, are eligible.
Once you have joined MSHS, you will receive campus recognition. You will be honored for your scholastic achievement by the presentation of a personalized certificate at your chapter’s induction banquet. Your guests are cordially invited, and top university administrators, faculty and community leaders also will be in attendance.
MSHS membership should be highlighted on your professional resume and will assist with graduate programs, medical and law applications, as well as career placement. Membership in the Society distinguishes you as a scholar and as a high achiever.
MSHS charges an induction fee that includes one year of membership. Benefits include recognition at the induction ceremony, personalized certificate, induction banquet for new members, publications, scholarship information, meetings, and activities.
