The Indian Student Association will host its annual event, Sanskriti: A celebration of Indian culture, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, in Forum Hall and the courtyard at the K-State Student Union. Bring your family and friends along — it's a day you don’t want to miss.

The event will show Indian art and culture by bringing some of the diverse art forms to the K-State community. Wildcat and Indian artists will share their culture through exhibition booths set up to display contemporary and traditional clothing, including saris and henna/mehndi tattoo booth, chaat — street food style — stations, DIY craft making and more.

The main performances will include music and dance, a fashion show put on by fellow Wildcats and professional artists. Different classical and semi-classical dance performances will be including Bharatanatyam and Kathak, which represent the dance forms from different states of India. Apart from the traditional performances, Sanskriti will also feature contemporary Bollywood and folk-dance performances, which are an integral part of everyday life in India.

The Globe Indian restaurant will be setting up a food court in the Union courtyard, catered to the needs of attendees with a variety of diverse, spicy, authentic Indian delicacies.
