International Week starts April 7

Get ready to celebrate as the International Coordinating Council presents International Week from Sunday, April 7, through Sunday, April 14, with cultural events happening each day.

April 7: International Fashion Show, 5:30-8 p.m. in Forum Hall at the K-State Student Union. See the runway with a variety of traditional attires from diverse nationalities worldwide.

April 8: International Parade, 4-5 p.m. starting at International Student Center and going across the Manhattan campus. Join us in proudly carrying your country's flag while walking across the campus.

April 9: International Dance Lessons, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the K-State Student Union courtyard. Learn new dance moves from K-State dancers from around the world.

April 10: International panel discussion, noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Big 12 Room at the K-State Student Union. With the theme "Home away from Home: Cultivating Belonging Abroad," learn about the unique international experiences of K-State professors and students. Panelists: Raj Khosla, Ari Jumpponen, B. Jan Middendorf, Ernestina Wiafe and Duru Doğan. Join via Zoom

April 11: International Cultural Exhibition, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the K-State Student Union courtyard. View displays of artifacts, customs, cuisine and cultural items from around the world.

April 14: International Talent Show, 5:30-8 p.m. at Forum Hall in the K-State Student Union. Celebration of diversity and artistry with exotic talents of multinational performers reflecting their cultural vibrancy and creativity.

Note: The registration link to participate in dance lessons and the parade is still open. Register for the event online or scan the barcode on the flyer.

Snacks and/or international food and drinks will be provided at each event.

Passports will be given to each attendee at the fashion show, and those who get their passport stamped at all six International Week events will be entered to win prizes. At the end of the International Talent Show, five winners will be awarded prizes with a value of up to $50.
