Scholarships and Fellowships
Undergraduate and Graduate students with science interests (STEM fields), particularly interests connected to NASA activities, will be supported through scholarship and fellowship grants.
Two Undergraduate scholarships and one Graduate student fellowship are being awarded in 2007 to the following students:
- Alyssa Mattox, Division of Biology. Alyssa is working on "Predicting the Emergence of Chronic Wasting Disease using Landscape Features and Population Genetics," with Dr. Samantha Wisely.
- Iris Wilson, Department of Geography. She is working on "Satellite Image Analysis for Ecological Forecasting," with Dr. John Harrington.
- A 2007 graduate fellowship has been awarded to Alison Fedrow, a PhD student in Microbiology. She is working with Dr. Stephen Chapes, on "Analysis of Space Flight Data from STS118."
