Outstanding Graduate Staff Member

Purpose of Award

The Outstanding Graduate Student Staff Member Award, presented by the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs Staff Development and Engagement Committee, recognizes one full-time graduate student in the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs who has had exemplary performance in their role.

Eligibility

The award is given to a staff member who is currently employed within the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs at Kansas State University and is currently enrolled in graduate school full-time.

Criteria for Nomination

The nominee must:

  • Perform all aspects of the job in an exemplary manner.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to one’s own professional development and growth.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs Strategic Goal Areas:
    • Listen and engage.
    • Empower students to engage in problem-solving.
    • Advocate for equity.
    • Champion holistic well-being.
    • Foster a welcoming community.

Nomination Procedure

The nomination procedure will include:

  • All units, department heads, staff and students within the Division are welcome to nominate a deserving staff member for this award.
  • The nomination should be submitted via Qualtrics. (Link below)
  • A selection committee of members from the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs Staff Development and Engagement Committee will review the submitted nominations.

Nominations should be completed by:

  • Submission of nomination via Outstanding Graduate Staff Member Award Qualtrics form.
  • Providing a nomination letter of support within the form. Nomination form preview (PDF)
  • Nominations for 2024 will open February 1st.

Outstanding Unclassified New Professional

Purpose of Award

The Outstanding Unclassified New Professional Award, presented by the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs Staff Development and Engagement Committee, recognizes one full-time professional in the Division who has had exemplary performance in their role.

Eligibility

The award is given to a staff member who is currently employed within the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs at Kansas State University and has been employed within the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs for a minimum of one (1) year, but no more than four (4) years.

Criteria for Nomination

The nominee must:

  • Perform all aspects of the job in an exemplary manner.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to one’s own professional development and growth.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs Strategic Goal Areas:
    • Listen and engage.
    • Empower students to engage in problem-solving.
    • Advocate for equity.
    • Champion holistic well-being.
    • Foster a welcoming community.

The nominee must:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to one’s own professional development and growth.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs Strategic Goal Areas:
    • Listen and engage.
