Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Plan

Our Lens, Our Focus, Our K-State is a five-year Inclusive Excellence Plan that provides a clear and holistic view of equity gaps, outlining targeted aims and actions for addressing these disparities.

Action Plan for a More Inclusive K-State

Recent national events and #BlackAtKState bring into clear focus how much work needs to be done to address racial and social injustice issues at our university. Developing meaningful, measurable action plans with concrete steps will propel us forward together.

JED Campus

To help us create a healthier and safer university, we've partnered with the JED Foundation, which operates the JED Campus initiative to assess current university programs and look for ways to enhance a school's mental health and suicide prevention systems, programs and policies.

The initiative is a multiyear strategic collaborative that will create positive, lasting and systemic change in K-State's community. A task force consisting of faculty, staff and students will work with our JED Foundation contact in helping us move this campus wide initiative forward.

Culture of Respect Collective

K-State has joined a group of 21 colleges and universities from across North America for the sixth cohort of NASPA's Culture of Respect Collective program. The Collective is an ambitious two-year program dedicated to helping end campus sexual violence that guides cohort institutions through a rigorous process of self-assessment and targeted organiziations change.

Students, faculty and staff will comprise the Culture of Respect Campus Leadership Team.
