The Client Manager will serve as a main point of contact who connects university clients to the Division of Communications and Marketing services. Must have a strong background in brand marketing, be an effective communicator, and possess excellent project-management skills. Understanding of website functionality, architecture and user experience a plus. Candidate will lead the strategy, planning and development of collaborative marketing plans and see them through to completion. Should be familiar with the spectrum of marketing tactics including online and digital marketing, print communications, public relations, design and multimedia production. Candidate will contribute to content for client projects and websites. Providing copy and editing that reflects university voice and best practices pursuant to each medium, especially online content that is developed to maximize search engine optimization and user experience opportunities. The Client Manager functions as marketing project manager, meeting with clients regularly, supervising the production of all projects, and managing projects through an online project management system. He or she will partner with cross-functional units, providing direction for design and copy that enhance the university’s brand, and adhere to the brand and marketing strategies. This position is seen as an integral team member and the public face of the division to clients served; as such, professionalism and diplomacy are required daily.
