2013 K-State Student Ambassador application deadline Oct. 2
As the fall semester hits full stride, the time to plan and promote Homecoming Week 2012 has come. One of the most important events taking place during Homecoming Week at K-State is the election of the two K-State Student Ambassadors, one male and one female.
The application deadline to be a 2013 K-State Student Ambassador is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2. Students may apply online at www.k-state.com/studentambassadors.
The K-State Student Ambassadors' duties include the following:
- Visit with prospective students and alumni at alumni association events throughout the state of Kansas.
- Attending Student Alumni Board meetings and activities.
- Alumni association programming on campus, such as class reunions, homecoming and other special events.
- Assist the president's office as needed.
The ambassadors serve a one-year term, and each receives a $1,500 scholarship, clothing from Borck Bros., and the official K-State ring from the alumni association.
