Patients receiving radiation therapy needed for research study

Submitted by Carl Ade

The Clinical Integrative Physiology Laboratory is seeking people who are currently receiving radiation treatment for breast cancer to participate in a research study.

Radiation can effect how your blood vessels work. Our team of researchers want to test how the blood vessels in your skin are effected by radiation treatment and look for new ways to help protect from unwanted radiation damage.

The study involves resting on an bed while small lights are used to measure blood flow through your skin.

For more information contact Carl Ade, assistant professor of kinesiology, at cade@k-state.edu or 785-532-1127. The Clinical Integrative Physiology Laboratory is part of the kinesiology department in the College of Human Ecology.
