Volunteers needed for K-State blood drive

By Mary White

Kansas State University and the American Red Cross will host a blood drive on campus. The drive will take place during the following times: 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 24-26, in the K-State Student Union; 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 27, in the Union; 1-7 p.m. Sept. 25-27 in Putnam Hall lobby.

Host groups are needed for each day and location of the blood drive. Hosting consists of providing volunteers for the entire day of the drive. Volunteers will work the registration table, escort donors from the donation chair to the refreshment area, and refreshment attendants will assist donors with snack and drinks.

To sign up your host group, email Kristi Ingalls at Kristi.Ingalls@redcross.org.

Individual volunteers also are needed to help chalk campus at 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23. Find more information and sign up online.
