All students — whether first-year undergrads or doctoral candidates — are invited to become part of a select group that works to elevate the Libraries' outreach and impact.

K-State Libraries Student Ambassadors serve two-year terms as advocates and representatives at social, cultural and recruitment activities. They also provide valuable feedback on K-State Libraries' initiatives and services.

Tiffany Bowers, current chair, says that it's an exciting moment to become an ambassador.

"It's a transformative time for Hale Library, the heart of the K-State campus," Bowers said. "I've been an ambassador for the last three years, and I've had many opportunities to provide valuable, student-driven feedback. As we recover from the Hale fire and look to the future, the ambassadors will strive to strengthen the connection between students and their Libraries more than ever."

Applications are due by Thursday, Aug. 30. Interviews will be conducted on Friday, Sept. 7.

Ambassadors are required to attend the annual retreat on Sept. 22 and regular monthly meetings. For more information, visit the ambassadors' website.

"Since the ambassadors' inaugural season in 2013, they've helped us host events, communicate with alumni and potential students and conduct discussions about the Libraries' future," said Darchelle Martin, one of the group's advisors. "We look forward to welcoming a new group of ambassadors from all walks of campus life."
