Green Week begins on Earth Day, Sunday, April 22

Submitted by Amber Berg

Students for Environmental Action and the Office of Sustainability are hosting this year's Green Week beginning Sunday, April 22. Green Week is a celebration of the earth and the environment through environmental activism and education that starts on Earth Day, April 22, and ends on Arbor Day, April 27.

The week begins with Clean Up MHK, a trash and recycling pick-up, at 12:30 p.m. in Aggieville. Accompanied by Julia Butterfly Hill, environmental activist, participants will make their way through campus collecting recyclables and end the afternoon at Arrow Coffee Co. to enjoy coffee and conversation. Earth Day will be wrapped up with a talk, "What's Your Tree?" by Julia Butterfly Hill at 4:30 p.m. April 22 in Forum Hall.
