Scott Jones selected as director of the Office of Institutional Equity

After a national search, Scott Jones has been hired as the director of the Office of Institutional Equity. 

Jones is a skilled and thoughtful leader who demonstrates wisdom and compassion in this very important work.  He most recently served as the interim director of the Office of Institutional Equity. He also has served in prior roles as an associate and assistant dean of student life, deputy Title IX coordinator and director of Greek Affairs.  He also is a certified Title IX coordinator through the Association of Title IX Administrators and National Association of College and University Attorneys.  

The Office of Institutional Equity is engaged in training, outreach, affirmative action planning, equal employment opportunity compliance and conducting investigations in accordance with PPM 3010, laws, regulations, executive orders and other applicable polices that uphold equal opportunity and civil rights laws.

The director of the Office of Institutional Equity has a dual reporting relationship to the president for purposes of investigations and to the vice president for Human Capital Services for day-to-day supervision.
