Reminder: An Evening With Peter K. Dorhout, American Chemical Society president

By Kyle Apley

Gain insight into the educational and professional journey of American Chemical Society President and K-State Vice President for Research Peter K. Dorhout.

Dorhout will discuss life in the sciences, finding community within your profession, and the role the American Chemical Society can play in your journey at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, in 209 Chemistry/Biochemistry Building.

Refreshments will be provided.

Dorhout is an exceptional source of insight as he has worked in industry, DuPont; a national lab, Los Alamos; and academia at Kansas State University and Colorado State University. Dorhout's message will be beneficial whether you already have your career path identified or if you still have a few years to decide. We look forward to hearing from a national leader in science and hope you will bring some questions and join us.

This event is for all students, especially those interested in research or chemical-related science and who desire exposure to career pathways and opportunities for professional development. This event is hosted by the K-State student affiliate of the American Chemical Society and is open to all students regardless of membership or departmental affiliation.
