Geology department awards $128,000 in scholarships
The geology department awarded $128,000 in scholarships at its annual awards banquet on Oct. 13. Family members, guests, donors and faculty members attended the event to support the department's scholarship recipients.
The following students are scholarship recipients:
• Chuck Balkenbusch, senior in geology, natural resources and environmental sciences, Elden E. II and Sylvia H. Leasure Student Field Geology Fund and J.R. Chelikowsky Scholarship.
• Noah Buckley, freshman in geology, Claude E. Shenkel Jr. First Year Scholarship.
• Shae Carrender, senior in geology, Elden E. II and Sylvia H. Leasure Student Field Geology Fund and Hydrogeology Scholarship-Bill Johnson '56.
