Annual campus security and fire safety reports available

Submitted by K-State Clery Compliance

Kansas State University is dedicated to helping all members of the K-State community have a positive educational experience, and is fully committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all. As part of that commitment, the annual security and fire safety report, or Clery Report, is published each year to inform the public of information about crime on and around campus, efforts to improve campus safety, and university policies. Its purpose is to provide individuals with relevant information that will help them make informed decisions relating to their own safety and the safety of others.

Reports are updated every year and contain fire and campus crime statistics for the previous three years on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or properties that are owned or controlled by K-State, and public property as required by law.

The 2017 reports for the Manhattan, Polytechnic, and Olathe campuses contain statistics for calendar years 2014, 2015, and 2016 and are available online.

If you feel as though something can be done to improve the K-State experience in regards to safety, please contact K-State Clery Compliance. Kansas State University cares for its community and strives to ensure that all members of the community have the opportunity to be safe, respected and supported.

Moreover, a global reporting website has been created to submit reports related to academic violations; code of conduct violations; students of concern; discrimination — based on race, color, ethnic or national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, age, ancestry, disability, genetic information, military status, or veteran status — harassment, including sexual harassment and sexual violence; domestic violence; dating violence; retaliation; and stalking.

Anyone, including prospective students and employees may obtain paper copies of the reports upon request at the following offices for each respective campus:

  • Manhattan campus: The Office of The Vice President for Administration and Finance, 105 Anderson Hall, 785-532-6226.
  • Polytechnic campus: Office of Student Life, 102 Student Life Center, 785-826-2971.
  • Olathe campus: Reception desk in main lobby, 22201 W. Innovation Drive, 913-541-1220.

In compliance with the Higher Education Amendments of 1965, as amended, Kansas State University campuses prepare and distribute annual security reports that contain important information concerning crime and fire prevention, crime reporting and policy statements.
