Hack K-state

K-State's Association for Computing Machinery-Special Interest Group on Artificial Intelligence, or ACM-SIGAI, an official student group, is organizing a data science hack in conjunction with Hack K-State Nov. 11-13.

The data science hack is an interdisciplinary event to bring together engineers, business students, designers, statisticians, mathematicians, etc., to use data science for social good. Students who want to learn also are welcome to come to event and play with datasets.

The dataset, related to a social challenge, will be provided at the event. Details also will be posted on the Hack K-State website before the event.

Teams can up to four members. You can register as individual and form teams at the event.

It is highly recommended that all code written during this event be open sourced and available under general public license.

Teams also are expected to give a brief presentation on their work and results will be announced Nov. 13. Winners will be judged based on the evaluation matrix. Each member of the top team will receive the data science prize, and may be eligible for other prizes depending on the hack.

Registration for the event is available online.
