Reminder: Sign up for K-State Alerts to receive emergency notices

Submitted by Division of Communications and Marketing

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Kansas State University campuses Tuesday afternoon and evening.

K-Staters can sign up for K-State Alerts or modify their notification settings for a specific campus on the university's Connect website under the eProfile section. In addition, K-Staters can add up to three phone numbers for text notifications and three for voice notifications, so friends and family can stay informed.

K-State Alerts send texts and automated phone call notifications from the K-State Police Department or the university's communications team during university emergencies such as an active shooter, tornado or other dangerous storms, campus closure or reopening a campus following a forced closure.

Kansas State University's primary concern is the health and safety of the university community.
