SafeZone training March 23

Submitted by Anna Waugh

Have you ever been out to lunch with your grandma or an older friend and the waitress asked you what she wanted to eat? If so, you've experienced age discrimination. Gayle Doll, director of the Center on Aging at K-State, will lead a training session from 3:30-4:30 p.m. March 23 in 113 Leadership Studies Building.

This fast-paced presentation will point out generational differences and how they can create problems. The session also will raise awareness of ageism in the workplace which may lead to more sensitive treatment of people with differences. Participants will be challenged to help find the solution to these problems.
