Stay safe with K-State Alerts, LiveSafe app

Submitted by Division of Communications and Marketing

Kansas State University is making signing up for safety communications easier.

K-Staters can now sign up for K-State Alerts directly on the university's Connect website under the eProfile section. In addition, K-Staters can add up to three phone numbers for text notifications and three for voice notifications, so friends and family can stay informed.

The university uses K-State Alerts when a dangerous condition exists on any of the three campuses, such as an active shooter, tornado, snow day or other dangerous weather that may close campus or to inform about the reopening a campus following a forced closure.

K-Staters who already receive K-State Alerts can modify their notification settings for a specific campus on the Connect website under the eProfile section.

Students, faculty and staff may also download the LiveSafe app on their smart phone or tablet. The app is a direct connection to K-State police and can help K-Staters keep friends or family updated when they have safety concerns. The app is free for all current K-State students, faculty and staff.

Kansas State University's primary concern is the health and safety of the university community.
