Run for student body president and vice president

Submitted by Logan Britton

As the leaders of the executive branch in the Student Governing Association, the student body president and vice president represent and protect the rights and interests of the study body. The president and vice president serve on various committees at K-State, including the university president's Advisory Council, Faculty Senate, Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce, and tuition and fee strategies committee, among others.

The primary election will be Feb. 22-23 to narrow the candidates for student body president and vice president to two final pairings. The general election will be March 1-2, which will ultimately decide who will lead the executive branch for the next term.

Students can file through the self-service menu on KSIS. Undergraduate candidates must be a full-time student with a minimum K-State GPA of 2.0 while graduate candidates must be enrolled in at least six hours and have a minimum K-State GPA of 3.0.
