Wildcat Watch student-produced videos explain science

Submitted by Debra Dandaneau

Anthony Williams, senior in physics and journalism, is a producer and host with Wildcat Watch, a student group that works under the guidance of the Division of Communications and Marketing's Video Production Services to create videos for the K-State student body.

His most recent "Spotlight on Science," featuring research by K-State chemical engineering department head Jim Edgar, has received recognition by the National Science Foundation, which has included the video as part of its online video stream.

Additionally, a video Williams produced as a course project for Mass Communications 471, Audio and Video Production, that featured the research of plant pathologist Anna Whitfield on the maize mosaic virus has attracted the attention of Science360 and The Knowledge Network.

This coming term, Williams will begin working in the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs as one of its first digital media interns, so more videos will be forthcoming.
