Human Ecology sets first graduate student research forum Monday

Submitted by Jane P. Marshall

Research focused on female firefighters, attachment trauma, interracial couples and chronic heart failure are among the projects to be presented at the College of Human Ecology's first Graduate Student Research and Creative Inquiry Forum Monday, Nov. 9, in Justin Hall.

More than 30 graduate students representing master's and doctoral programs will offer their research work. The forum is free and open to the public.

Posters will be on display between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. in Hoffman Lounge. Presentations and judging will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monetary awards for the top presentations as selected by K-State faculty judges will be announced following the judging.

Awards are to support travel to present at a national conference in the student's discipline. Read additional information, including an electronic program booklet.

The forum is sponsored by the college and the College of Human Ecology Graduate Student Association. For more information contact Bronwyn Fees, associate dean for academic affairs, at fees@k-state.edu.
