Hines receives $1,500 intern scholarship

Submitted by Communications and Marketing

Nathan Hines, senior in mechanical and nuclear engineering, was awarded one of two $1,500 Intern Scholarship from Ash Grove Cement Company. The annual scholarship is an opportunity for students who have completed a summer with Ash Grove Cement Company at one of its plants.

"I am always impressed by the interns' strong work ethic and desire to learn," said Dave Ezell, vice president of human resources, Ash Grove Cement Company. "Student projects not only contribute to the company but also provide for professional growth of the students."

Hines is the son of Lyndon and Carol Hines of Chanute. He interned for Ash Grove at its Chanute, Kansas cement plant this past summer.
