Students, don’t forget about your strengths

Submitted by Jessica Arnold

As we near fall semester's halfway point, we want to remind our first-year freshmen and transfer students about the free StrengthsQuest access code they have waiting for them.

K-State's StrengthsQuest initiative enables first-year freshmen and transfer students to take the StrengthsQuest assessment free of charge. This assessment, based on the concept of intentionally developing on your strengths rather than your weaknesses, is being utilized campuswide in classrooms and communities as a way for students to better understand what they and others have to offer.

You only have the free access code until May. To find your free access code, visit KSIS > Self-Service > Student Success > StrengthsQuest. Then, follow the link strengthsquest.com/register/default.aspx to enter your code, register with your information and you will be prompted to take the assessment.

Remember, 30-40 minutes of uninterrupted time is recommended to complete the timed assessment. If you have to take a break, however, your progress will be saved and you can return to finish the assessment at a later date.

If you have any difficulties accessing your code or logging onto Gallup's website, send K-State StrengthsQuest an email at strengthsquest@k-state.edu.

We encourage everyone to stay informed about Strengths at K-State by following @ksu_SQ on Twitter and KSU.Strengths on Facebook. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please email us at strengthsquest@k-state.edu.

All the best in your Strengths journeys.
