The Other Wes Moore

On Tuesday, Oct. 27, Be Stoney, associate professor of curriculum and instruction, will moderate a student panel session on the 2015 university reading selection, "The Other Wes Moore."

The panel session, "A Contrast of Parallelisms and Confrontations: 'The Other Wes Moore' Experiences on a Predominately White Institution (PWI) Campus," is scheduled for 7 p.m. in McVay Family Town Hall at the Leadership Studies Building. It is free and open to the public.

Today's panel session is the second in a three-part series, "The Other Wes Moore: A Public Lecture Series." The lecture series draws upon the collective knowledge of the campus community to help everyone understand more about the issues raised in Moore's book.

The series will conclude with a presentation "Privilege and the Intersectionality of Identities: A Complicated Reality" by Jenna Tripodi and Jessica Haymaker, coordinators for K-State's Center for Advocacy, Response and Education, on Nov. 17.
