Submitted by Karin Westman

Laura Micciche, associate professor of English and comparative literature at the University of Cincinnati, will present "Supporting Graduate Student Writing" at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, in 114 Burt Hall.

Micciche will lead a discussion on how to enhance the writing of students at the graduate level across different disciplines and genres. She will present her research on graduate-student writing and her experiences working with graduate students. Micciche will then guide audience members through several interdisciplinary strategies for providing support for graduate-student writers, including doctoral writing workshops.

Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions and present their own experiences and challenges working with graduate student writers.

Micciche's visit is sponsored by the English department and its track in rhetoric and composition, with support from the offices of the president and provost.
