Submitted by Judith Lynch

The Academic Assistance Center in the Division of Student Life has announced that Jared Meitler has been hired as coordinator of the Academic and Career Information Center, or ACIC.

Meitler has served as a coordinator at Career and Employment Services since 2012. During that time he launched new initiatives including the Career Fair VIP Tour program to help first-year students learn how to navigate a career fair successfully and the campuswide Student Employee of the Year award program. He was responsible for the career advising of open option students and served as the StrengthsQuest administrator for K-State.

He received his bachelor's degree from Kansas State University, is a certified Career Development Facilitator through the National Career Development Association, and will complete his master's degree in May. He joined the Kansas State University staff in 2012 after spending four years in retail leadership at Best Buy Inc.
