Garmin's Programming Showdown is Nov. 15

Submitted by Communications and Marketing

All students are invited to test their programming skills and create their own app at Garmin's Programming Showdown from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, in Fiedler Auditorium. Participants may compete on their own or with a friend. There will be free food for all contestants and prizes for the winners.

For more than a decade, Garmin has been developing robust, dedicated wearable technology to improve training metrics for serious amateur and elite athletes and outdoors enthusiasts. For the first time ever, Garmin is opening up app development to the public.

By joining Garmin's programming competition on Nov. 15, participants may create their own app, such as a custom watch face, information widget or mobile interactive, for Garmin's wearable technology devices with Garmin's new Connect IQ Software Development Kit.

Email Garmin at KSUGarmin@garmin.com to participate or for more information.
