Submitted by Megan Miller

The Office of Nationally Competitive Scholarships, the Office of Research and the Graduate School are hosting an informational session on the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program from 3-4 p.m. Sept. 17 in the K-State Student Union's Room 207. This session will provide information on eligibility guidelines, application procedures and application deadlines, and will present advice on writing a strong proposal.

The National Science Foundation awards approximately 2,000 Graduate Research Fellowships each year, each including a three-year annual stipend of $32,000. Seniors who plan to pursue graduate study and first- or second-year graduate students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible to apply for the fellowship and are encouraged to attend one of the informational sessions. Faculty members mentoring students who are eligible for the fellowship also are welcome to attend.

Please contact Jim Hohenbary at jimlth@k-state.edu or 785-532-3422 or Megan Miller at mmmiller@k-state.edu or 785-532-6191 with questions about this informational session.
