Free film, popcorn on a boring Sunday night

Submitted by Sarah Beebe

Dining halls aren't serving dinner, stores close early, you may have to get up early for class tomorrow; so what can you do on a Sunday night? Attend a free movie! Join us for the second film in the Movies on the Grass Series, "Electoral Dysfunction," at 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, at Coffman Commons, Hale Library's south lawn.

Movies on the Grass is a fall film series that portrays current issues in great shows. Bring a chair or a blanket, something to drink and good friends and we will provide you with free popcorn and entertainment on our large outdoor screen.

This film focuses on the role of the electoral college and discusses voter ID laws. While other films have examined narrow aspects of our electoral system, "Electoral Dysfunction" is the first documentary project to use humor and wit to take an irreverent — but nonpartisan — look at voting in America. The film helps spark national dialogue on the steps ordinary citizens can take to ensure that every vote counts.

We offer films every Sunday. View our full schedule and movie descriptions. You also can stay up to date by following us on Facebook or on Twitter @ksu_movies #FreeMovie #What2DoAtKSU.

It can get cold after the sun goes down, so you might want to bring a sweatshirt with you.
