The documentary film "Lioness" will be screened at 4 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Wareham Theatre, 410 Poyntz Ave. The event is part of K-State's Season of Service program, honoring our military and their families.

The film follows a group of military women as they serve and tell their stories of the time they served together in Iraq. These remarkable women are part of the first generation of female combat veterans. The film screening will be followed by a discussion panel on women and war, featuring members from the film.

The event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by by K-State’s Institute for the Health and Security of Military Families. To learn more about this event, visit the institute online or search via Facebook for The Institute for the Health and Security of Military Families.
