Work continues to restore iSIS service

Submitted by Kenneth Stafford

iSIS experienced a disk error around noon on Tuesday, July 15, which resulted in a complete system outage. It took almost 24 hours to restore the system from backup data. When the system returned to service some of the backup data was corrupted. The failure was not the result of a security breach and data remains secure.

Information Technology Services was able to restore data from 11:46 p.m. Thursday, July 10. For transactions posted after July 10, a plan is being developed to minimize the impact on students, faculty and staff.

Updates will be posted to the www.k-state.edu/its/status page and in K-State Today. Contact the IT Help Desk for further information at 785-532-7722, 800-865-6143 or helpdesk@k-state.edu.

Thank you for your patience. Information Technology Services is working to restore service to iSIS as soon as possible.
