Civil engineering graduate student takes top honor
Ahmed Al-Rahmani, doctoral student in civil engineering, won first place and $1,000 in the national competition of the International Highway Engineering Exchange Program for his paper "An Artificial Intelligence Approach to Objective Health Monitoring and Damage Detection in Concrete Bridge Girders." His major professor is Hayer Rasheed, professor of civil engineering.
