Geology faculty, students present at Goldschmidt geochemistry conference Aug. 25-30

Saugata Datta, associate professor in geology, and colleagues from Tulane University, Boston College and Eawag aquatic research facilities in Zurich convened the session "Advances in the Studies of Oxyanions as the Transport Mechanism of Contaminants" at the Goldschmidt Conference Aug. 25-30 in Florence, Italy.

Datta, Matthew Kirk, assistant professor in geology, and K-State geology students also presented "Investigation of Sediment Geochemistry in Areas with Elevated Arsenic in Groundwater of Matlab, Bangladesh and Murshidabad, India" at the conference.
