eTime for hourly student employees improves productivity

Submitted by Jennifer Gehrt

The Division of Human Resources continues to go green by utilizing eTime, an online time reporting and approval process for K-State hourly student employees. This new process is now utilized by 66 departments with approximately 60 percent of the hourly student employees reporting hours worked each pay period via eTime or other electronic methods. Students report their time in HRIS/Employee Self Service and supervisors review and approve the time online. The new process not only reduces paper but also greatly increases efficiency of biweekly time reporting and approval across the university. The goal is 100 percent participation so to learn more about getting started with eTime, contact Human Resources at 785-532-6277 or email HROffice@k-state.edu.
