Learn how to better supervise student workers Sept. 15

Submitted by Gina Lowe

Cheryl Grice, manager of employment services, and Michelle White-Godinet, assistant director of affirmative action, will present "Supervising Students" from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, in 103 Edwards Hall.

Student employees provide a significant portion of the work force that supports and maintains this campus community. To work effectively with this important group, a supervisor should be aware of students work limitations, key university and federal policies, and helpful leadership techniques. Even experienced supervisors of regular staff will benefit from the ideas offered in this program.

Registration can be completed through HRIS self-enrollment, WTD005 session 36, or by emailing your name, employee ID number, course title and session number to training@k-state.edu.
