Secure IT training required by June 30

Submitted by Gina Lowe

State of Kansas policy now requires that all state employees receive annual IT security training each fiscal year. Online and face-to-face sessions are available.

Online training has two options, one with audio and the other a text-only version. While both versions contain the same general information, the version with audio contains more in-depth discussions of each topic and may be more useful for less technical users. Take the online training at secure IT and click on "SecureIT@k-state" on the left under events and training; an eID/password sign-in is required.

Face-to-face sessions, WIT006, are offered on:

May 5, 10:30-11:30 a.m., Session 19; and 1:30-2:30 p.m., Session 20.

June 16, 2-3 p.m., Session 18; and 3:30-4:30 p.m., Session 17.

June 23, 2-3 p.m., Session 24; and 3:30-4:30 p.m., Session 21.

Register for these sessions via HRIS employee self service. Path: Employee Self Service > Learning and Development > KSU Training Enrollment; or by contacting the human resources training office at training@k-state.edu. Please include your name, employee ID, course title, course code and course session number.
