Third quarter sales tax rate will change to 8.40 percent July 1

Departments selling products or services, please note the change in the sales tax rate. The state of Kansas rate of 6.3 percent will be reduced to 6.15 percent effective July 1 per the Kansas Legislature.
Therefore, the effective sales tax rate for Manhattan is 8.40 percent starting July 1.
