Manhattan Municipal Band performs Friday in City Park
The Manhattan Municipal Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 21, at the Larry Norvell Band Shell in City Park. Admission is free.
The band is a community group comprised of Manhattan residents, K-State students and K-State faculty from various departments.
The band celebrates its 93rd year performing in Manhattan and is under the direction of Frank Tracz, professor of music and director of bands at K-State.
The band will be performing traditional marches, selections from Broadway musicals and classical overtures. It will feature several K-State faculty soloists. This special Friday performance is part of the Manhattan Parks and Rec Department's Arts in the Park series.
