Architectural engineering and construction science associate professor nominated for ASHRAE Board of Directors

Julia Keen, associate professor, architectural engineering and construction science, has been nominated to serve a three-year term, 2013-15, as a director-at-large on the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers, or ASHRAE, board of directors. Directors-at-large serve as liaisons to the society’s standing committees and on its councils, with their focus on operation of the society. Following close of the election process in June 2013, Keen will take office at the society's 2013 annual conference June 22-26 in Denver.

The society, founded in 1894, is a building technology society with more than 50,000 members worldwide. The society and its members focus on building systems, energy efficiency, indoor air quality and sustainability within the industry.
